Learning & Dancing!

I learned so many things about dance. I took a dance class in high school that taught me new movements from my body that I didn't know I can move. It's amazing that everyday I learn something new about dance or movements I can create on my own. This year I'm taking a hip hop class. And this class has been so helpful for me. I'm learning how to loosen my whole body and let the beat move you! It helps you a lot! I think everyone should try it. Put on your favorite song on and feel the beat and let it move you! I will be doing that everyday. I'll see if I can make up a dance routine by doing this! Don't be afraid. Let yourself go and turn up the music! :)

Pics of the Day!

These pics remind me of what I do when I get bored in my room! I go all out! Expressing your emotions help you make up an awesome dance move! Having fun with it also makes it look amazing! I need to take some pics of myself like these! She's a great dancer!

Inspired By Michael Jackson!

This was the first music video I was inspired to dance when I was 8 years old. I hope you enjoy watching it like I enjoyed dancing and learned his moves. :)

Dance is was I Do!

Hello! My name is Stacey! I love to make up dance routines/choreography to music that motivates me. I'm starting to make dance videos for my family/friends back home in California and here in Utah. I have been dancing since I was 8 years old. I've never took any dance classes when I was little. I always want to attend a dance school or take classes but my mom didn't have money back then to enroll me in one. So, instead I learned by watching Michael Jackson's music videos. I was inspired by his moves and music. My favorite music videos are Thriller, Billie Jean, Bad, Beat it, and many more. All the moves he did in each video I would learn every time I see them. It was hard at first because I know how much I need to be flexible, on point, or count the steps. Later on I got the hang of it by practicing each move over and over again. After I have learned all his moves in his videos I wanted to learn different types of dance. I was 10 when I started to watch Chris Brown, Missy Elliot, Ciara, Sean Paul, Usher, and other hip hop and r&b artists to learn how they danced. It was a little different than dancing to Michael. The type of dance they used was hip hop and breakdance. Learning their steps were more loosing your body and putting your style into it. When I turned 11 I wanted to make my own choreography to music I would hear on the radio. My first dance routine was Missy Elliot - Pass That Dutch. After making that dance routine I want to make more, but with my cousin Klarissa and my sister Denise. They were 7 year olds at that time. We made choreographies to Usher - Yeah, Missy Elliot - Gossip Folks, and Sean Paul - Temperature. When I moved to Utah the first 2 years I stopped making choreography. I wasn't as motivated here like I was in California. The only thing I did was go out and danced in parties and clubs. I was shy to dance and show my dance routines so I kept it to myself and family. When I was a Sophomore in high school I started to make dance routines. Until this day I'm still making choreography. I dance modern, hip hop, jazz, and a little bit of ballet. I'm still learning different types of dance. I love to explore many dance levels. In this blog I would be posting my dance videos, pics of myself and others dancing, and some youtube videos that I enjoy watching. I would also be giving you guys some tips and telling more about myself with dance. Anyone can dance just move how you want and don't be afraid to express yourself. I would like to motivate you to dance with me. Enjoy!:)
